LawManager provides a number of different techniques to help you locate information stored in the database.
Global Search allows you to search for information stored in a predetermined set of fields across notebooks in a single search step. The developer configures which fields are searched.
The Query All search function allows you to display all of the records stored in a specific notebook (e.g., the Matter Notebook.)
The Custom Quick Queries feature allows you to limit notebook specific search results to records that meet a certain condition or set of conditions. For example, when searching the Matter Notebook, you can limit your search to a specific Matter number or name or to all matter records of a particular type, such as "litigation."
Advanced searching allows you to conduct field level searches in the header and/or tab sections of LawManager notebooks. Through the use of search operators and filters, this option provides a way for you to perform extremely focused searches for a specific sets of conditions.
