Matter Rules

The Matter Rules tab is used to record the audit rules that should be run specifically for the matter displayed in the header section of the notebook.

The Matter Rules tab is accessed by clicking on the tab in the binder section of the following notebooks: Matters, Litigation, Contracts, Matter Financials, Investigations. The Matter Rules tab displays in tabular view as described below.

Required (Y/N)

Rule Set

The set of rules (e.g., Duplicate Check, Audit Checks, etc.) to apply to the matter.

Activation Type

This field defines the type of rule activation. When adding or updating a record, select one of the following values from a dropdown list:  

  • Global – Rule Set will be activated or deactivated for all invoices.

  • Matter Specific – Rule set will be activated or deactivated for a specific matter.

  • Vendor Specific – Rule set will be activated or deactivated for a specific vendor.

  • Matter/Vendor Specific – Rule set will be activated or deactivated for a specific matter and vendor.

Pre/Post Submit

Specifies the set of rules that apply to the matter and specifies whether to run the rules the rules prior to (pre) or after (post) saving the matter.

Activate/Deactivate

Indicates if the rule is active (activate) or inactive (deactivate).

Vendor

The name of the vendor. Select a value from a dropdown list.
