Subsidiaries

The Subsidiaries tab displays the subsidiaries in which the corporate entity (displayed in the header) owns stock.  The number of shares owned by the corporate entity is listed for each of the subsidiaries in which it owns stock.  The percentage owned is calculated by taking the number of shares owned by the corporate entity and dividing that number by the total number of shares authorized by each owned subsidiary. The Subsidiaries tab may be found on the Corporate Secretary notebook. This tab is read-only.

Subsidiary

The legal name of the corporate entity or subsidiary that is owned by the corporate entity displayed in the header of the notebook.

Stock Class

The kind of stock that has been authorized to be issued.

Shares Owned

The number of shares of stock of the designated type, which are owned by the corporate entity displayed in the header of the Corporate Secretary notebook,  for the respective subsidiary.

Currency

The form of money in which the shares of stock are valued.

Paid-in Capital

Cash received as payment from investor for stock.

% Owned

A calculated field that specifies the percentage of a specific type of stock owned by the stockholding corporation displayed in the header, relative to the total number of shares of stock authorized for issue by the respective subsidiaries in the list.  Note that this value sums all stock transactions for the corporate entity.

Start Date

The date the stock was purchased. Defaults to the current date. If entering or updating a record, click in the field to open a calendar to select the applicable date.

End Date

The date the stock was sold. If entering or updating a record, click in the field to open a calendar to select the applicable date.

Note

A freeform field used to describe the status of the authorized stock. Enter or view the contents of this field without scrolling by clicking icn_pencil.jpg to display the Memo dialog box. Modifications made in the Memo dialog are immediately transferred to this field.
