Calendar

The Calendar tab displays all the calendar events associated with the selected notebook. The calendar keeps track of appointments, tasks and events by category, type, location, due date, matter number, etc. The Calendar tab is read-only for Entities, Vendors, and Corporate Secretary notebooks. Events must be added and updated in the in the Calendar notebook, which requires the Calendar Manager. No limit exists for the number of calendar events that can be assigned to an entity. The Calendar tab is accessed by clicking on the tab in the binder section of the following notebooks: Entities, Vendors, Corporate Secretary, Matters, Contracts, Litigation.  If you have questions about entering or modifying tab data, refer to Adding Tab Data, Updating Tab Data, or Deleting Tab Data. The Calendar tab displays in tabular view as described below.

Field

Description

Required (Y/N)

Matter

The matter associated with the record in the main section of the notebook.

Type

Indicates the type of event (e.g., Meeting, Court Appearance, etc.)

Date

Displays the primary date of the event including the day of the week. The caption for this event can be set by event category. For example, Invoice Approval events can use this field for the due date.  

Note: When accessed from the Entities, Vendors, or Corporate Secretary notebook, the heading for this field is Filing Date.

Time

Specifies the start time of the event.

End Time

Specifies the end time of the event.

Status

Indicates whether the event is Active, Completed, or Cancelled based on the Status radio option selections.

Description

Contains notes about this event in the field. To view the contents of the note without scrolling, click icn_pencil.jpg. The Memo dialog box displays.

Category

The field indicates a category for the event.

Status Flag

Indicates the status of the event (i.e., Active, Completed, or Cancelled.)

End (Web) Termination (Pro) Date

The ending date for the event including the day of the week. The caption for this field can be set by Event Category. For example, Corporate Filing events can use this field for the Termination Date.

Completed

Contains the date when the event was completed. This field may not appear in detail mode depending on the selected event category.

Location

The location of the event.

Subject

The subject of the event. To view the contents of the field with out scrolling, click the icn_pencil.jpg. The Memo dialog box displays.

Assigned

If this field displays, enter any notes about the assignment. To enter or view the contents of the note without scrolling, click icn_pencil.jpg. The Memo dialog box displays.

Note: This field displays when accessing the Calendar tab from the Matters, Litigation, or Contracts notebooks only.

Parent Event

This field displays the parent event if this is a child event. This field is populated by the Calendar Rules Engine.

Y

Invoice

The invoice to which the approval event is related. This field should display the invoice number and the vendor name.

Budget

The matter budget to which the approval event is related.
